I think that the internet just depersonaliszes out responces. Like it is not a real human out there paying attention to the answers. I have had some really great exchanges too. Try to be an example and let the rude stuff just fall away.

the rudeness I can handle, I just say consider the source, but the amount of illiteracy on these sites makes me worry about the next generation and have a better understanding for the sat testings
