My local Sunoco station is charging 20 cents/gallon more than other gas stations in this area, yet they're alsways busy. What's so special about Sunoco?

They must have good friendly service, but why don't you go and talk to the manager to find out how they do it.

Typically its just all about location, location, location. I mean its gas, so there is really no difference in quality from one station to the next and not many people think gee, I'm going to Sunoco cause I like them so much better than Exxon.

That's a good questions. Here in So Cal stations on the same corner charge about the same - but if you drive for a few blocks the cost can vary by $.10 - $.15 cents? What happened to the days when every gas stations charged the same ?

Sunoco doesn't import Middle Eastern oil.
Just a guess....

might be the location. if they are at a busy intersection or are the only one in the area, they can raise the price.

now if they are right across the street from another one with lower prices, you can report them for price gouging.
