Prayer and 50 cents will get you a cup of coffee.
Although I've heard that healing prayer only works if you give at least half of your life savings to the televangelists.
Even in those cases it is only coincidence if you get better.

It is the greed in this country that prevents it from being a great country. You know they only let so many people take the exam to become doctors a year, that way all those people get rich. I am ashamed of what this country has become. I fear for my life here as I get older. We need a health plan for every single American
in this country, not just the people who may be able to afford insurance. We are too greedy. The physicians may have to actually care about people then. I get so mad about this......

In your previous question you called people of faith delusional. Judging by your questions I can confidently say that you are the one that is delusional. Most people that believe in god are rational people. We don't think we can pray away our problems. If you knew anything about faith you would no that you really shouldn't pray for selfish reasons. But I do understand why you are not religious, it is because you are far from humble and you are extremely ignorant as to what is actually going on around you. I highly doubt that you have ever had contact with someone as religiously fanatical as you make all people of faith out to be. Once again you have pr ooven that you are a pretentious prick.

Beautiful! Love ya, man!
Who the hell wants HMOs anyway?
Not the doctors!
Not the patients!
Must be the insurance companies, eh?
C'mon, people, tell me you enjoy getting jerked around on an annual basis, having to change doctors, just because the last one you had (and liked) isn't on the new provider's list.
The United States is the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee access to health care as a right of citizenship. 28 industrialized nations have single payer universal health care systems.

You actually have to believe in Jesus for the miracle to work. You can't just pick and choose the times you want him in your life. As for Jerry Farewell, he may have preached the word of God but he didn't live by the word of God. And besides everyone dies eventually.
But I agree Health care needs fixed. It's ridiculous that you pay in so much money and if you never use it, you lost it. But I see no need to drag Jesus into all of this. I think perhaps we can have both Insurance and Prayer...

I pray that 'our' government will establish a rational health 'INSURANCE' plan where everyone pays in something and the doctors and hospitals actually get paid in a timely manner. I think Jesus would approve!

Just pray you don't have to wait 6 hours for government approved doctor based on the lowest bidder to be told that it will take 8 years for the next appointment.... while left elite can pat themselves on the back while they gave the masses free health while they see their private physician, and business have to close for they can't pay the 400% increase in taxes to fund it...

Praise the Lord!
Okay, in all seriousness there are three ways to look at this (at least):
1. Place your fate in the hands of God. He works in mysterious ways, right?
2. God created man (or humanity, I suppose) and we have developed medical practices so it is God's will that we use what He gave to us.
3. It has nothing to do with God (or Goddesses) and everything to do with if you have health insurance. :)

Jim Morrison told us that "you can not petition the lord with prayer"... Much in the same vein as not being able to petition the insurance companies with petty medical problems (of any size or extent)
