There is no word, no material, no tangible thing that exists in this world, that one could use to describe the the creation of something so pure as love.

You see this everyday...
An old man and an old woman sit on a bench together, their hands in one an others.
A mother plays with her smiling child, laughing in the sunlight.
A young woman and a young man brush against each other accidentally in a crowded coffee shop, their eyes meet for a moments glance.
Lovers' lips kiss to taste and brush against each other remembering the feel of soft skin with every movement. . .

Love is something which is tangible and intangible. It often feels surreal but it is so real. It is every interpretation of all of our senses, and it is something which requires no senses. Love is nothing and it is everything.

Every answer here will be different, because love is never the same for one person as it is for another. Ironically, you ask the one question to the world which can only be answered by you.

...but then again you already know the answer don't you?

I'd say appreciation and a feeling without expecting anything in return. Expecting a return is an arrangement or deal, but still with some feeling. A gift you give yourself. Wanting good for someone else and appreciating someone elses happiness, beauty or character. The biggest love is unconditional and dependant on something you see in a person or thing or only a hope for them that they should have it. In a relationship time and listening, understanding is an important aspect requirement. Words are so malleable, though, and everyone has their own definition and experience to bring to their understanding. You'd best know what that is and yours. Have you ever noticed how there are so many definitions to a word, even more than in the dictionary? I would say that love is a stand you take in relation to something that has a positive feeling or thought and the different types are what else you attach to it such as types of things loved, love of self, temporary love and the like. It sure would be good to know what your getting at. In the philosophy section it must be the nature of love. It's an abstraction and abstracting an abstraction seems futile except as individual examples in the group. A person or animal can take a stance, whether instinctually or not, a person as a decision based on whatever they will, like just because it seems the thing to do. I'm not so sure that basing it on a feeling is so stable as feelings change. On a principle makes it more enduring and not necessarily less emotional or at least healthy emotions, not necessarily as an addiction or obsession. You could almost say it is all good.

THEY ARE:

I. The Hull of some Great Sailing Vessel, Christened on or before the 17th of September, of the Year immediately prior.
II. A large canvas sail, Blessed by His Holiness, the Pope Benedicto XVI.
III. The Main Mast, Carved from the heart of the largest Wood in all the forests of the world.
IV. The Rudder, fired in the kiln of the finest bronzesmith in China.
V. The Anchor, to be made from purest gold.
VI. Amber orbs, to lift the vessel from the ground to the sky through some magic of the gods.
VII. Globes and maps and charts of every kind and shape, to keep the Vessel from running adrift.
VIII. A Compass, telescope, and sexton to aide in the navigation of the Vessel to the Heavens.

This is the single most important creation in ascending from this world to Godhead. Stores of food and water, while tempting, should be left here as they are for this world alone, and have no place in the Heavens and with gods, and would only add undue weight and strain to the Vessel.

Passion, understanding, trust, honesty, affection, friendship, fun, humour, sacrifice, hope, faithfulness, kindness, silliness, innocence, lust, humility...millions more ingredients you could add. A pinch of this & a dash of that. But I think these would be a good start. Season to taste...

Love is sweet...and sour.
Love is delicious & devestating.

Love is the most beautiful precious gift we have. It is the meaning of life.

Ingredients of Love

4 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Forgiveness
1 tablespoon of good ole honesty
and a dash of sweetness.

Warm it all up slowly and Love should begin to rise.
Cover it with some sheets and administer pillow kisses and certainly, you will receive Sweet Nothings in your ear shortly after.
