i am attempting to login using ftp.domain.com (unsuccessfully). I am using WS_FTP... i have entered user name and password and i continue to receive an error msg, "530-Your FTP session could not be opened.". Please, any suggestions?

When ATT absorbed Yahoo, they started to transfer alot of their files to different server types.
Some servers are now running in the passive mode for transfers. Go into your WS FTP Program and go to the advance tab and check the box that has Passive transfers.
Perhaps this is the problem.
