I had a c-section w/ my son and it takes around 6 weeks if ur one that doesn't take it easy! My son had some unforseen complications and was taken from me and sent to childrens nicu and so i didn't see him for more than 10 min before they took him (even though it wasn't life threating..NE WAY) i was in such a hurry to get outta the hospital and down to him that i pushed and pushed to do more than i should have and i retained all kinds of water around my ankles and got an infection and had to be poked on down there which really hurt so just sit down and enjoy baby make someone else do house work or if u must at least only do one thing then sit for a while and rest. Trust me u dont want to complicate the already draining surgery!

It takes 6 wks of recovery after a C-section. Not every woman is the same so recovery time might be different. Though if it was a scheduled c-section you might heal much faster than someone who's had an emergency c-section.
You should continue to take your prenatal vitamins after delivery. A c-section is an operation and you should take time to heal properly.

Not until 6 months later for me. It took me that long until grocery trips didn't make me feel like going to bed. I worked out and worked through the fatigue but that didn't help ANYTHING. Now my baby is 8 months and I'd almost forgotten about that horrible tired weak feeling. I am anemic, too so that reminds me to remind you to be sure to drink lots of water and take your vitamins and iron. Peace.

It can take at least 6 weeks before you start feeling better but you still need to take it easy also have they checked your iron levels to make sure your not anaemic? Try to get as much rest as you can and if you have someone who can help out with housework take the help

i think 4-6 weeks. When did you have it done?? If it was just recent then girl, sit your ace down and relax, My step mom did too much and trust me, it wasnt pretty. It takes awhile, I mean think about it, all your insides were out paying a visit to the outside world. Congrats on baby!
