A video card and a graphics card are the same thing and yes you can not buy one to put in the other slot as long as the smaller car is in a bigger slot.

The PCI express has a very tiny section that gets plugged in to the motherboard while the PCI express x16 has the longer section to plug in.

yes pci express is pci x 16. you can see the differences in the slot size. the slot size increases as u go up from pci x to pci x16. video cards are made in pci x16. so it will fit in our pci x 16 slot

and video cards are the same as graphics cards they allow you to display images and plug in a monitor
