i'm so tired to see the giants lose!! if i were bruce boacy, i would set my batting order like this, Dave Roberts, Randy Winn, Pedro Feliz, Barry Bonds, Bengie Molina, Ray Durham, Ryan Klesco, Omar Visquel, and then the pitcher, and my pitching rotation will be Matt Morris, Noah Lowary, Matt Cain, Barry Zito, Tim lienccum, if u were the manager how would you set the lineup and the pitching rotaion, and why?

You can play with that lineup up all you like but it won't make them any younger.
The Giants simply don't have even youth in that lineup to win consistently. The team needs youth.

I like this question better than the question I was going to ask...what would you do if you were Brian Sabean?
As for the lineup, I suppose you'd have better luck throwing darts at a list of names on the wall. The only real threat in the lineup is Bonds and with no protection for Bonds, everyone is just pitching around him. Klesko is looking like more and more of a mistake everyday, Durham leads the team in hitting into DP's with Molina 1 or 2 right behind him. Feliz....welll, do we really want to open that door?
I like Roberts batting lead-off and Winn behind him. Then, I propose moving Bonds back to the number 3 spot. So I guess my traditional lineup would look like this:
Roberts
Winn
Bonds
Klesko
Feliz
Durham
Molina
Vizquel
If I were really going to shake up the monkey tree, I'd have Winn leading off, Durham in the number 2, Roberts batting third and Bonds in the clean up. The whole key to any move I would make would be to get Durham and Molina as far away from Bonds as I could, that way if he gets walked he's not being stranded or doubled up.

Man, I hear ya the only reason I watch the Giants is to see Barry Bonds close in on the record (steriods or not) I still believe he's the greatest power hitter in this era. The Giants need another power hitter b/c people like Durham and Klesko aren't and never will work out there
If I were Boch I'd set my line-up like this
Roberts
Winn
Durham
Bonds
Molina
Vizquel
Klesko/Aurilla
Pitcher
Pitching Rotation
Matt Morris
Matt Cain
Barry Zito
Noah Lowry
Tim Lienccum

i think of that the fulfillment is reaped by the two factors of the bay. The Athletics have a lot of international Championship jewelry the place the Giants have one. The Athletics has super pitching, a good farm equipment, besides as spectacular sluggers interior the previous. The Giants have a means record breaker, playoff journey and a background of corridor of repute gamers. The followers are the winners by way of fact no metropolitan area different than enormous apple has 2 communities in close proximity to a minimum of one yet another. The SF Bay area has 3 baseball communities (Oakland/Fremont, San Francisco and single A San Jose), Cal and Stanford NCAA activities, an NBA championship triumphing basketball team, worldwide championship triumphing expert area soccer, 2 tremendous Bowl triumphing NFL communities, a playoff experienced hockey team and expert lacrosse.

The whole lineup is stinking it up no matter what order their in. Nobody is batting .300 thier HR leader has like 15. Nobody is executing thier bunts; hit and runs; and well pretty much any of the basic plays necessary to win close games. The Giants are an average at best National League Team playing baseball like an all-star slugger infested American League Team. They try to survive on the big extra base hit but nobody is hitting the ball consistently and thats not good considering the starting pitching is rather streaky and the bullpen is always scary poor.

I would say that exact same thing. There is not much else you can do with that team except watch Barry Bonds get intentionally walk and take forever to break the Home Run record.

I am Giants fan, so no matter how you put it, it's still a bad team. These players are terrible, it's going to be a long season so get use to it.
I am already looking forward to 2008, when we play the young guys on a daily basis

I dont think anything can help, sry. Unless Bonds heats up like he did in 2002, they dont got a chance. The DBacks are owning that Division, and they wont give it up.

Actually, it is not the line-up that is making them just an average team, it's the ability of the players no matter what line-up they use.
