I don't know about "mongel". If you mean mongrel, no he was not right since most of the people of the world are the result of mixtures, at one time or the other, But then, he was almost always wrong. He was just mad when he said it.

In reply to badappleinthebunch I would agree with 99% of what you say.The only thing I would not be sure about would be that Hitler started with good intent but that is something no one will ever know. The thing that saddens me is the statement about not being able to talk about these things now because at the end of the day you LEARN by past mistakes and if you can't debate your past mistakes then how do you learn. This is not directed at the German people but to ALL races. Why after 100s of thousands of years are we still fighting over RACE,CREAD,COLOUR do we have to destroy the planet to prove who is best or do we LIVE

I have to say our "mongel race" defeated his "superior race" with the help of the other "mongel races": the British and Soviets.

Hitler was an evil man who hopefully is receiving eternal punishment from his maker.

I thought he called us "mongrel hordes." Not sure what a mongel is. Perhaps a mongol or mongoloid? Maybe because we have so many people with Down's syndrome. Let Hitler go. He is dead.

Hitler was referring to the immense amount of ethnic variation in the nomadic people who emerged from the region now as Mongolia. Every few hundred years, a new people would be pushed out of this region by tribal instability and ransack the surround areas in Europe and Asia, as documented by the Romans and Chinese. These nomadic people all shared a common culture, but varied vastly in ethnic composition, with some appearing traditionally Asian others being nearly Scandinavian in appearance. Granted, Hitler meant it as cut, but it is actually a tremendous compliment to the United States diversity compared to homogeneous and increasingly static Europe.

With the ever changing borders in Europe, who was Hitler to talk this way? It is likely that the only true pure races are those in deepest South America

Hitler started out with good intentions for his country that turned bad. He couldn't handle the power and could not stop when it was time to stop. He became insane. That happens to most dictators and extremists. He hated everything in pure, gays, Jews, handicapped, mixed races, assumable because of his own heritage, but most likely for various reasons.
You'd have to be a born and raised German to actually know details.

In Germany you aren't allowed to publicly talk about Hitler any longer, which is sad, because his even though infamous legacy is a part of History.

Yep and it kicked his "Master Race" right in the Hakenkreutz. Ever been to any European town or city lately? Look at the trash thats running around now. Dont blame the Americans for it , Germany couldnt get enough cheap labor.

Yes. Americans are a mixature of many different races and cultures. To Hitler, this made us all unpure mongrels.

But what he perceived as weakness, we turned into a strength.
