There are many different types of colleges. Two-year colleges typically offer associate degrees and completion certificates. Four-year schools offer bachelor degrees. Some of these four-year schools may offer graduate studies, which lead to master and doctorate degrees.

heres the break down of what schools offer what degrees.
Community College - 2yr Associates Degree
College - some do offer Associates but very few. 4yr or Bachelor's and almost all have some sort of Masters program.
University - Bachelor's, Masters and some sort of higher degree. The reason I say higher degree and not doctorate is that one does not get a doctorate in law.

Many on line colleges (college of Phoenix, Walden college) grant levels in training. for my area, i think of it rather is extra valuable to pass to a brick and mortar college for training, yet with determination paths to training certification in maximum states, why no longer. Any degree is extra valuable than no degree. i do no longer see why the possibilities for somebody with their B.S.Ed. from a web college could be any worse than from a typical practise college. in spite of everything, a pair of million/2 of instructors pass away the occupation interior the 1st few years of coaching. it rather is a no longer easy pastime, so the extra those with levels in it, the extra possibly we are going to have great instructors. (by fact we are going to have a bigger pool from which to entice)
