I have the absolute perfect suggestion for you...I've recommended these to lots of people who liked the same books you did, and all of them loved them. Read "His Dark Materials" series by Phillip Pullman:

The Golden Compass
The Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass

The movie from the first novel ("The Golden Compass") will be coming out this December, so you'll have an edge up on it, so it would be perfect.

Once you're done with those, take a look at the Septimus Heap books, "Magyk" and "Flyte." I thought those were great.

You've already read the best series-Unfortunate events and Harry Potter, although you should finish the SoUE books...they are amazing and just get better as they go.

World of Pies is good, as is Ballet Shoes

For fantasy, Cornelia Funke's Inkheart trilogy.
For teen girl books, try any Meg Cabot young adult books such as Princess Diaries series, or Mediator series (supernatural teenager with abiitiy to see the dead).
