First off, I probably wouldn't talk about something I didn't understand ~ kinda like you talking about what it means to be a liberal. Secondly, I love my country. When I see someone (i.e. the Bush administration) pissing on the Constitution, I speak out and defend my country. I don't run away.
I really didn't want to debate you point by point, because you can't use logic with people who just make up their own facts, but....
-Libs don't want a "massive redistribution of wealth". You know who does? George Bush. He's practically taking money out of the middle class and giving to the top 1 percent. The FACT is that the middle class is shrinking, and the gap between the rich and poor is getting bigger. That's our concern. Want to experiance a country with the problem of having almost no middle class? Why don't YOU move to Mexico then.
-Libs don't want a weak military. This is just assumed since Reps want a crazy amount of military spending, the Libs must want none. Not true.
-Gay marriage ~ personally, no, I wouldn't have a problem with gay marriage. I think the government should stay out of people's personal lives. I thought cons used to want that too?
-3rd trimester abortions - I don't know anyone who supports that, and it almost never happens ~ unless the mother's life is at risk.
-Comparing libs to Nazi's. Very logical... I didn't realize Nazi's were environmentalists...
-I think pot should be legal for medical purposes. I guess it seems logical to you that doctors can use morphine - arguably the most addictive drug on earth - for pain, but pot's not OK...even though it's actually not addictive...

Sorry can't do it. The Blue Ridge are here in the States..so can't leave 'em behind.
Besides...who doesn't like wearing stretchy pants and "working for the weekend"???
I mean what's the alternative..."proud to be an Okie from Muskogee..."
Sometimes being Liberal is just the obvious choice.

I guess you havent noticed that the GOP has taken a HUGE shift to the left lately. Attempted immigration reform under Bush, secretive overpowering gov't (Cheney), the whole idea of globilization is pretty liberal really.
Liberals are here because they love America. You cant have just one side. Conservatives would fail without liberals and vice versa.

Hey, I'm working on it. I only live 3 hours from the border. But you know, immigration isn't an easy process; it takes considerable time and money.
Patience young grasshopper, I'll be out of "your" country soon enough.

Sorry, this is my country. I'll keep fighting for it until you feel like moving to Saudi Arabia or wherever people like you feel comfortable.
As for environmental regulations, most of us want clean air and water more than anything else. Nothing's more important than breathing. Apparently it's too late for you though, 'cause something bad obviously got into your bloodstream and affected your brain.
P.S. I'm actually one of those Clinton moderates who likes NAFTA and welfare reform. But I still don't like you. Thanks for reminding me that I'm in the right party.

The ignorance here...first off, I'd like to say that I do NOT vote based on party, nor identify myself as Democrat or Republican. The reason: do you really think party leaders practice what they preach? I mean, how do you know if George Bush REALLY dislikes abortion? Or if Obama TRULY supports gay marriage? The fact is you don't, and is absurd to vote based on party. Even though if I did affiliate with a party, I would identify as a liberal, I want to clarify few things here. I cannot tolerate ignorance. First off, you blame liberals for "massive distribution of wealth". Yes, because it's perfectly fair to take the money of the middle class and give it to the rich. You know, because they already don't have enough money, that's why they're called rich, duh? Secondly, why is socialism given such a bad rep? Oh wait, because of history books. Socialism isn't bad—RUSSIA was bad. In reality, socialism is a beautiful principle if everyone isn't selfish and greedy (Ahem, conservatives) and trying to get out of work and actually care for their country's economic concerns. If you think about it, socialism might actually work in America, as Americans are highly patriotic and express concern for the national economy. Finally, whether or nor global warming is real, I most definitely don't want to live in a world where we have to wear masks because the air is contaminated with CO2. But you know, breathing well is Nazi, so yeah... Don't be ignorant—do your research.

you really have been brinwashed by that pretender in the white house havent you.
the beauty of america is that we can disagree completely and NOBODY has to move away because of it.
i happen to believe that bush is a horrible president, and i will defend my position against anyone that is willing to listen. i will also listen to the other side as long as they are respectful and dont talk hate as they often do.
either way, i think you are hot, so do me.

I don't want to move to Canada because I believe America is a great country despite what I think needs improvement. You can say what you want but according to polls, it's clear that American's are shifting their ideals away from conservatism as it is proving all the more not to have functionality in the real world.

Great idea Blondie, do you need help packing? It's obviously much easier to move the braindead NeoCONazis (18% and dwindling) than the rest of the country, so get to skippin'.
