Motley Crue. They sold over 40 million albums, and they had a rough edge that still sounds good! :-)

I would answer Metallica but they are speed metal. So just for a metal band it would have to be EARLY Motley Crue. I saw them in concert in 1990,,,,it was their Dr. Feelgood tour and that was the tour when Tommy Lee played his drums up towards the ceiling while the drums were spinning in circles and going all over the made rafters. And of course he was in his leather thong. NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCEE !!!!!!!!! There were actually Nuns and Priests outside with signs that read,,,,"if you go in you will burn" and " if you go in you worship the devil" What an experience. Lita Ford opened and Warrent then played,,,it was their Cherry Pie tour. What an amazing experience. This was in McNichols arena in Denver Colorado. It is now an ,,,,,ahem,,,,arena football stadium. SAD !

Basically, it's either Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth or Iron Maiden. Personally, I'd pick Iron Maiden, but that's just personal preference.
