Breastfed baby stool can be all different consistencies, but it is very rarely solid and hard. Normally it is thin and runny, runny enough that many will wonder if their baby has diarrhea. Most of the time the answer is no, however if seems runnier than normal or gets a very distinct smell to it, you should call your pediatrician to make sure it is normal.

Like others have said, it is usually a mustard yellow with a seedy consistency. If it is green and foamy, it means that he's getting too much foremilk and not enough of the creamy hind milk.

Mustard poop is common for breastfed babies. Supposedly breastfed babies make sweeter smelling poop. I don't know about you, but I've yet to meet a poop I'd call sweet.

Exactly right! It doesn't really form up like what you would expect poop to look like until they get older and you introduce solids.

It looks like mustard mixed with cottage cheese. It's far better than formula poop. That's nasty!
