Short term yes, but long term no. The exceptions are:
If the tank is really large (200+ gallons)
or
If they are siblings that have been raised together. I once had a 55 that housed 40 males bettas that were all brothers. It was a sight to see.

Yes 3 year's ago i had 2 male betta's and 4 female betta's all in one 20 gal tank..They all seemed to get along great, for a bit over 4 month's i had no problem's at all and then one day out of the blue woke up to one of my male betta's dead in my tank and signs of a struggle and mark's all over the body..It was horrible and i couldn't understand but looked into a bit and found that sometime's you can get 2 males that will get along but at the same time it only take's one mistake for one of them to get upset with the other and it will be over, so you would be smart not to take that chance and put a female in with the male .... They are pretty fish and it would e awesome to have a whole tank just filled with them but we can only dream...lol

As has been stated, it is possible - in a tank that is large enough, and especially if they are siblings. But it is not commonplace, and not recommended for the average hobbyist to attempt. But, the secret is to have a lot of hiding places, and plants and things that will help them seperate their territory. There is, however, NO guarantee that just because they get along fine in the tank for a day, a week, a month, or even a year, that they will not become territorial or aggressive the next day and massacre each other. The same holds true with females. It is possible to group them together somewhat more easily than males, though they can get just as nasty. In the wild, they have plenty of room to seperate from each other and establish their own territory.

I will have to agree with MM. The only time you could keep males together is a huge tank well planted or unless they are siblings. Which sometimes that doesn't work out. I have a 8 week old fry that I had to remove from the grow out tank because he wanted to pick at all the other fry.

No, But iv read that when you breed bettas that if you keep the males together from birth (never seprating them) they will never fight, i dont know if this is true, But if you keep any male bettas together the will FIGHT TO DEATH, Iv seen one on YouTube.
