This temp service that i just quit from doesn't want to give me my pension and i've been with them for a year and a half but i don't have any money for a lawyer so what should i do now? I just want what's rightfully mine.

It's a question of who "owns" the pension. (Pension is a very specific term in the US.) It seems unlikely that a true pension would vest as quickly as 1.5 years. So you may have quit before the pension vested, or before it became your property. So, rightfully, the company does not have to pay. Can you check with HR to see if you had vested?

If you did, and it is indeed a pension, I believe the company is obligated to give it to you.

Where are you? If you're in the US it would be highly unusual for you to be vested in a pension from a temp agency after that short a time. Was it a pension that you were contributing to? If it was, then you should get your money back.

If you're elsewhere than the US, laws might be different.

Good luck.
