After Hurricane Katrina I helped friends clean out refrigerators and freezers. In most cases we just threw them away. Frozen seafood and meat thawed out and left in a closed freezer for two weeks without electricity has a smell you would never forget. The only thing that comes close is a human body that has been in the water for about a week.

actual odor depends on the concentration of what you are smelling. even things that smell good will smell bad in to large of doses. I would say decomposing flesh such as a mouse in a trap or if a deep freeze breaks down are what I consider bad. some would say skunks. others would say that the corpse flower is the worst....
