Lack of proper grammar bothers me too. As in your question.

"Don't you hate it when people don't use spell check?"

or

"Don't you hate it when people don't check spelling?"

I spell quite well and I pride myself on using correct grammar both when I speak and when I write. My problem is I cannot type worth a d*** so I need to run spell check when I complete a document to correct my typos. I then read the document again as spell check will find incorrectly spelled words but if I typed or used the wrong word, spell check will not catch it.

Depends on the circumstances and the kind of errors they made. A simply type-o or two in Yahoo! Answers simply is not that important. Who cares? But if it is an official document or it is so bad you can hardly understand what they are trying to say, then it really bugs me. It is all about communicating. If you are communicating clearly and concisely, then it really doesn't matter that much.

I hate it ... It makes me feel like I'm reading gibberish language and its a bad influence on children especially mine ... My daughter learns from other people thinking that's how you spell it ... and I have bought her a dictionary and she doesn't even crack it open to learn how to spell it ... I miss my old days when I had to crack my dictionary open to learn how to spell words ...

It's not worth such a strong emotion. Does it tick me off sometimes? Sure. But "hate", no.

Yes, I really do. It just shows how lazy people really are that they don't care what their spelling looks like...even if it makes them look stupid (which it does).
