your logic doesn't follow, a comedian on stage making generalized comments about a particular race, can indeed be funny because he is satirizing stereotypical things.
But, if that same comedian gets in your face, and personally calls you such derogatory things with every intention of those things hurting you....why do I think you would not laugh or take it lightly? Racism exists on both sides of the skin color gradient. I suggest you fail to do anything to rid us of racism with your question, and in fact add to the problem.

People say cotton and lambswool..to refer to whites? Never heard of it. I would honestly prefer not to be called a n***er. I am not one not now..nor will I ever be one. I don't allow anyone to use that type of language around me or my son. I call people by their names.

see not all black people are racially sensitive see me i use to be in the military and talking about each other was the way of life because you had to live and work with them you know. i think that people that are racially sensitive are people that have not been around other races on a norm. but yea i think its silly when people get mad when people say the N WORD. they get all mad and wanna fight but we need to look at martin Luther king what did he do when somebody called him that nothing SO that's what my brothers and sisters need to realize life is to short to be worried about a word that didn't even affect a man that we all look up to all a hero.

I was just wondering that myself! That Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington Started my thinking what is up with a dumb *** statement like the one he made today. I'm thinking he's just a nut. I have known Black people and the well balanced ones would never think of saying what he would say. In truth I think very few people think of color anymore...I'm In my 40's I don't even notice it. I'm Married to a Chinese lady and someone once said to me a (mixed marriage) and I had to really stop and think what he was talking about.

Your people werent enslaved and descriminated against and called honkey and whipped at the same time. There is nothing black or others can call you that will tear deep into your soul.

a) They learn to be sensitive because it often gives them preferential treatment. If you got all sorts of rewards for being extra sensitive you might be too.
b) Also, they are sensitive because many statistical measurements in areas such as crime, testing scores, average salary, intelligence, illegitimate children, lifespan, etc do not work out in their favor. Asians normally don't mind when you talk about their race. They normally do quite well on numerical unbiased measurements.
