look nothing happens when I put a disk. in devise manager it says it is working properly how do I fix it.

If you're talking about a cd/dvd drive, open My Computer and right-click on the drive, choose Properties. Click on the AutoPlay tab and check to see what your settings are.
Other information that would be helpful... what kind of drive are you asking about? Can you open it from My Computer? Does it spin when you try to access it or does it not respond? Is this a new problem?

Nothing happens automatically when you put in a floppy disk. You need to open My Computer and then double click on 3 1/2 " Floppy A:
