I think it is because guys are expected to pursue a woman so her teasing is leading him on where as when a guy teases a girl she often times does nothing about it. I have no idea if that is correct or even makes sense but that is what i wrote

Because woman (some) enjoy a challange & when a man distances himself a bit & makes it seem as if he's not as sexually interested in her as she'd hoped, she throws herself on him some more. AKA: VERY happy man.
Whereas, a girl can tease & tease & all the poor guy gets is blue balls. :(
I don't think it's right either way. But there are times when a girl is young that she's just begenning to experiment with a boy, that it's not considered teasing. The girl is new to it & just testing out the waters & when she reaches a point where she's no longer comfortable or recognizes that she's not ready for the next step & that's perfectly fine. Boys that age (15-17) should understand this. If a girl is doing this at age 30, it's pretty much time to let her go because all she wants is attention. Men too. :)

Think about the feminist movement and how it has changed the image of women. Before these radical changes, women were required to be dependent on their husbands, dressing, acting, and doing as their husband said. Now that the idea of individualism has penetrated the stereotype, women can still be women despite disrupting the social norm. These ideas of strength and independence have always been a part of the stereotypical man, but not in the honest, accepting sense. Breaking the stereotype is much different than it is for women, and individuality for men is confined to the borders of masculinity. Men are going to need a "feminism" of their own to gain some diversity, because, for now, any deviation from norm destabilizes the entire male identity. Don't go thinking that it is easier to be a "boyish" girl either. It's just different, more ok in some senses, but also strikes a deeper nerve in some hyper-chauvinistic men.

It is wrong to tease anyone, but when its a guy teasing a girl or a girl teasing a guy and they are young its usually because there is a crush involved so its done as a way to cover that fact up so the kid doesn't have to deal with the teasing they would otherwise get from their circle of friends.
When they are in an older age group its probably just because he or she is an asshole

Girls tease guys all the time. It's expected. Your question is based more on your perception, then reality. Guys frequently ask the same question, reversed. People of both genders tease other people, all the time. It's annoying, but it's no less acceptable for one gender then the other.

It is obvious. It is because women have smaller brains. No, I am just kidding, I don't know that there is a double standard there. It is ok with me. If I guy gets upset about it, he sounds like a ________(fill in the blank with whatever you want)

It is a double standard, it's okay for a guy to be a horndog (or a male slut) but a girl isn't supposed to. But in any case, I've found guys prefer sluts for a night, but want a "good girl" to marry.

i dont know. i have wondered this myself and i think it should work both ways. there are too many double standards out there that go for one and not the other. whatever is going to happen for whatever reason should be considered acceptable for both genders and not just one of the other. good luck.

Women tease men all the time.
Indeed, that's part of the circle of romance.
Can you describe what you mean by "Tease"?
Perhaps "Come on to"?
Indeed, women can do that too now.

because (apparently) women are meant to be more mature, and are sussposed to know better, also men are sussposed to do the chasing so when a woman does it it is instantly taken as "up for it" year 2007 i know but some things never change......
