can anyone tell me why when shuting down my computer the turn off does not come up on screen . i press start and the turn off is there but then it does not come up on screen it just stays as the egg timer wht help please.

Take no notice of the second answer from some moron who has nothing better to do than insult people, you can not ask questions on here these days without the local village idiot trying to be melodramatic.
I am not an expert with computers, it's probably something simple . Hope you get the right answer for your problem..

Try pressing the Power button once. That will initiate the shutdown process. It should be fine once the computer restarts.

CTRL / ALT / DELETE, when the task manager box appears press shut down.
Or press ctrl alt delete twice.

dont worry that happen sometime becuase you use it for a long time that why and many program. just wait or just click the power button then wait and i think it will shut.

simply off the ur cpu 's power button.
