Where were you when the 9/11/01 attacks struck? Do you think people have forgotten about what happened on that day? After that day everyone seemed to be a lot nicer, and united- Do you still see that happening??

I was in NYC, on the streets, watching the buildings coming down. Obviously not a forgettable incident. Briefly afterwards, most of the world was both sympathetic and eager to help in any way they could. There were messages of shock, anger, unity and support from all over the globe. Unfortunately, Bush squandered all of that good feeling and turned it into contempt, disappointment and hostility. We had an AMAZING opportunity to unify with and receive co-operation from hundreds of nations, and he blew it for us.
Most of us will never forgive him for it.

I was at my job, driving a shuttle van for a hotel in New Orleans. I heard about the attacks on the radio, then when I got back to the hotel, some guests who were preparing to leave were talking about it. I didn't fully realize what had happened until I heard the hotel guests talking about it. There was no television in the hotel lobby. No, I don't believe people have forgotten about that day, especially the ones in NYC. With all the 9-11 expose videos online? No way has it been forgotten. Yes, people did seem nicer and more united after the attacks happened, but I don't find that today. People are much more angry, divided, resentful, and stressed out.

I was on my way to work listening to the radio when I heard what had happened. I am afraid that a lot of people have forgotten about that day and have also forgotten that we are vulnerable to attack from outside. I did notice that people were a lot nicer right after the attack, but I think we quickly reverted back to our former behavior. I am sorry to say that I have.

When I walked into the entrance of the high school where I was teaching, other teachers immediately told me that a plane had crashed into one of the World Trade Center towers. A television was on in the office as I checked in, so I happened to see the other plane crash into the second tower. Needless to say, each class wanted to watch what was happening on television all day long, so we didn't get any work done.

I don't know how may times CNN replayed the planes crashing and the towers falling that day, but those terrible scenes still automatically replay in my mind.

Just got back to Fl after a trip to NYC, I was in the towers on Sept 3th at the top. It always breaks my heart when I think of the young guy at the concession stand at Top of the World. It was my husbands first trip to NY and I am so glad we decided to go to the towers, we bought so many souvenirs that day, took our picture at the the Top of the World photo stand, got the souvenir penny with the towers on it,etc.I grew up in NJ and had gone to the towers a lot as a kid, I loved looking down on the city from there. I was in my car on my way to work...listening to the radio...I do think that people were united then, now I don't see it any more...

In my country in was already 9-12 so on 9-11 it was an ordinary, every day, day. When the attacks struck, we were sleeping through the night twelve hours ahead.

I was in Massachusetts, saw the whole thing on TV in a cafe.

My mother was in lower Manhattan, so I remember panic, trying to get through to her on the phone. I moved to New York city a few months later and live there now. No one here will forget any time soon, but I think the days of unity are long over.

In Holland. I was supposed to come visit my family in the States but 9-11 shut down all the airports and no flights were allowed in.. My husband called from work and told me a commuter plane hit, and I switched on the tv.

I was at work and listening to the radio. When the first plane hit, the news was reporting that it was just a small commuter plane. But when the second one hit, I remember chills going through my body and thinking that it was no way this was an accident. Several of us went to the small cafe in our building that had a TV and just sat there in disbelief watching the news.

I was with my parents at their office. The entire company was crowded around the tv in my dad's office as the news came on. A lot of my friend's lost family members, but I was blessed because everyone in my entrire family (not including my mom, dad, and me) are scared to death of planes.
