Considering that a human can easily see the stars at night, some of which are hundreds or thousands of light-years away, it becomes apparent that a human can see as far as light can travel. Unless the light is blocked by something, this means an infinite distance.

It is no different for an ant. They have eyes which perceive light hitting them. The light could come from 10 feet away or 10 light-years away. It makes no difference. Anything with eyes can see an infinite distance under the right conditions, because light can travel an infinite distance under the right conditions.

Now, the distance at which ants are INTERESTED in what they see is a completely different question, and I'd imagine it's a fairly short distance.
