Record it on a camera phone and walk in the other direction. I would get away from it cause you don't know what kind of lasers will come out, but record it so you have proof that it is what it is. Send it in, and not only have you seen something amazing, but you'll make money off of it too.

If you see a UFO land in a nearby field, identify it so it won't be a UFO anymore. Either it will turn out to be man-made, or it'll be aliens.
If it's man-made, no big deal.
If it's aliens, try to be a good representative of humanity. Don't start any wars prematurely.

Assuming you're in a "first contact" situation, you need to contact the UN (as is internationally agreed) as soon as possible. Probably your best bet is the local authorities, something along the lines of
"Hello police? My name is ***************, I'm calling from ***************, could you send a car round to this location? I believe I've witnessed some kind of incident involving an aircraft...."
Get photo's, remember to get objects that can give an indication of scale in the picture. Bear in mind that raising your hand in a gesture of "peace" (similar to the native American "how") can be misconstrued as a hostile act (do that to a chimp and see what happens!)
Don't smile, showing your teeth may again be construed as an a hostile act.
Alternately, do as I would, explain to the aliens that you are a former ruler ousted from power by evil humans and you need the aliens help to regain power and free the oppressed masses! Heh Heh Heh!
