He didn't demand the big bucks when he was a free agent and he was willing to sacrifice to stay with the team (move from catcher to 2ndbase to left field and back to 2ndbase). Also, he and Jeff Bagwell were a killer combo.

Craig Biggio is the ultimate baseball player. He does what he is supposed to do and does the right thing on and off the field. He is what baseball should always be looked as. When I eventually have kids and they ask about baseball I'm going to say Craig Biggio....thats baseball. Last night was the second greatest night in Astros history next to going to the World Series. When B G O brought out Baggy it teared me up b/c I have been fans of these guys since I could remember. its great to know that there are players out there that can stay loyal despite haveing all kinds of money thrown at them. Heres to ya Biggio....see ya in Cooperstown

It's amazing. Biggio is a class-act all the way. Not many athletes can say they are loyal to their fans and are playing the game for the love of the game and not the money. Biggio is a real man and a real ballplayer. I wish they made more of him. MLB would be a lot better if they had more Biggios.

He is loyal to the Astros. He didn't demand big bucks like other guys, and he was even willing to switch positions more than once. He's just an amazing guy with a great personality. The fans love him. I'm not an Astros fan, but I really like Biggio. He's a great player.

He had enough loyalty to the Astros that he did not test Free Agency. He is such a positive influence and good player that the Astros did not want to trade him. Basically he's just a great guy that any team would want to keep around.

Loyalty. He loves the Astros franchise and the Astros and their fans love him. It also helps when you're a regular contributor like he's been. He's provided great value to the team. Very admirable to think about what he's accomplished in his 20 year career.

He is such a class act that any team would have kept him for 20 years, it just so happens that the Astros and their fans were the lucky ones.

Loyalty something that is very rare in a game now run by what team they can go to for the most money.

He's not just playing for the team that will give him the biggest paycheck, so he humbly re-signs with the stros at the end of each contract.
