People in other countries like Michael Moore. He tells the truth and cares about other people.

They hate Bush and Cheney because they lie and don't care about other people. They're also classless, wealthy, profane, ugly, ignorant, greedy, etc...

People DISLIKE you because of Ugly American's (plenty on both sides of US politics though).

People HATE you because you keep replacing anti-American democracies with fanatic dictatorships, funding warlords and terrorist groups all of which eventually turn around and attack you which you then use as an excuse to invade more countries and replace more leaders. If the US didn't constantly undermine and attack anyone that displeased it then people wouldn't hate you nearly as much. Then there's the whole environmental thing, you produce more pollution than any other country yet are amongst the most reluctant to do anything about it. And the war on drugs thing that's involved going in and burning the traditional crops of some of the poorest people in the world. Basicly stop being evil as a nation and more people will like you?

I think Paris Hilton is more of a reason why "they hate us". She is an immoral, stupid, scumbag, slut that we celebrate and embrace. Michael Moore is a political hack that only appeals to a small portion of the population. Paris Hilton is a symbol of American pop culture.

If all you saw of America was our media (TV, magazines, newspapers, etc.) then you could easily make the argument that we are the "Great Satan". Everything in our pop culture and media is about sex, money, destroying the family, and more sex. There is nothing good or godly about our image to the world.

If I didn't live here, and all I saw was our media, I'd probably hate us too.

Michael Moore is liberal which most foreigners like because most countries are more socialistic than the U.S..

I am sure YOU don't like Michael Moore and I am sure there are many people you'll find that don't like him...his objective is to create controversy, that gets people to see his movies.

By the way, you just added money to his pockets by spreading his name and promoting his movie, nice job!

Yes, Moore makes America seem like it is worse than Sudan and Iraq while his fatass is sitting at home making millions. He never shows the average hardworking american who is taxed and has problems but overcomes them daily and that is why they hate us, they think we are a nation of depravation.

Your right, after they applaud his movies, they would have to look at him as the poster child for everything they hate about America.

Actually, I think he is be the opposite of that.
He is smart,
thoughful,
honest,
slams the right people,
and is only profane as the truth of things reveal themselves to be.
He is what redeems us to the rest of the world.

I don't think so, no, though it depends on which 'they' you're talking about. He may represent the kind of attitude that may make some of America's enemies feel that attacking us is worth the risk, though.

When you see your enemy is sunk in self-loathing and divided against itself, then you may conclude that it's a good time to attack.

beyond the childish reasons you list without any evidence, what makes him an "Ugly American?" did you even see any of his films?

the new one is about healthcare. so you want to trash him why?
