People may not be able to tell that it's from the 1940's, but I don't want to be mugged or anything. would it be safe to carry something like this around? thanks!

You'll be fine. Most people don't know real vintage from other products. You'll be self concious at first, but then it will feel normal. If you are really worried, get it insured with a floating articles rider. Then you don't have to worry. Many people walk around every day with thousand dollar handbags and have no problems. Enjoy!

I wouldn't use it outside if I were you. That's a classic item! Maybe it wouldn't get stolen, but what if it did? Or what if you lost it? That would be such a shame. Get yourself another purse and keep that one stored in a safe place.

well its always good to be different, plus vintage stuff is very cute.
Everyone has a risk of being mugged, so it shouldnt be a big deal

Okay, this is what i say, if it looks like it is from the 19 hundreds keep it at home. But, if it looks cute with your outfit and not that old, wear it!

well i mean you better use it to your full ability and get your monies worth but if your THAT afraid just bring it out on special dates when you need sumthing to bring up conversation with or when you really wanna make a fashion statement to other females

well if you own it, what else are you going to do with it? unless you collect antiques or are planning to sell it as time goes on and it gets more valuable, it's a purse and it's meant to be used
