Is Masturbation Normal?
While it once was regarded as a perversion and a sign of a mental problem, masturbation now is regarded as a normal, healthy sexual activity that is pleasant, fulfilling, acceptable and safe. It is a good way to experience sexual pleasure and can be done throughout life.
Masturbation is only considered a problem when it inhibits sexual activity with a partner, is done in public, or causes significant distress to the person. It may cause distress if it is done compulsively and/or interferes with daily life and activities.
Is Masturbation Harmful?
In general, the medical community considers masturbation to be a natural and harmless expression of sexuality for both men and women. It does not cause any physical injury or harm to the body, and can be performed in moderation throughout a person's lifetime as a part of normal sexual behavior. Some cultures and religions oppose the use of masturbation or even label it as sinful. This can lead to guilt or shame about the behavior.
Some experts suggest that masturbation can actually improve sexual health and relationships. By exploring your own body through masturbation, you can determine what is erotically pleasing to you and can share this with your partner. Some partners use mutual masturbation to discover techniques for a more satisfying sexual relationship and to add to their mutual intimacy.

One potential negative side effect would be if you do it compulsively and it gets in the way of other activities and responsibilities. This can be a possible negative of almost any activity though, so it's hardly unique to masturbation. Another potential negative I can think of is if you do it too often you could chaff the skin on your penis, which would be uncomfortable and even painful. All good things in moderation!

Other then that, have at it, there's nothing wrong with it and it feels good.

Feeling great after you come. There are no side affects that I know of, unless you jerk off 15 times a day. The problem then is you have no more strength in your hand to continue for another marathon. Just enjoy it man while you're young. I did.

95% of guys do it, and the other 5% lie! Lol. There are no negative side effects. Depending on your age, if you don't masturbate the semen is released naturally through "wet dreams" while you sleep.

The fallacies about masturbation is not supported with fact. The best advice is to use the method to relief stress and anxiety you may have. Like everything else use it in moderation. After all the satisfaction of humanly contact in sex is rewarding...and fun.

There are no effects and the only side effect is you'll want more of it. Stop looking for something to worry about and enjoy it, you just can't do it too much.

There are no side effects. It just feels good. The only adverse side effect would be never doing anything else.

The desired effect is called self-gratification, ie. one achieves orgasm. If not why waste the time? Depending on your personal trigger, the side effects can be highly enjoyable or one can suffer carpal tunnel syndrome and/or tennis elbow with prolonged whacking.
