USA I am not a psychologist or office designer, but at my house, I think light colors are best. Especially in winter, when the cloud cover and weather is depressing.

I have talked with several architects who agree. I suggest you ask a professional. But, on the other hand, it is YOUR office furniture; it should be a color YOU like, and a color that represents YOU the way that YOU want to be represented.

Again, I am not a design professional. The above is only my opinion.

Black is classic, especially leather, but it will show the dust. Maybe try a light gray.

of course black, because it is classic color
and especially for hassocks, if you are going to buy hassock for you office, just buy black leather hassock it is very modern, comfortable and classic
