They will take her blood pressure and weigh her. The Medical Assistant will also ask her how she's feeling and ask about any kind of symptoms she may be noticing so that the dr can know about it.

Then when in the room they may ask her to undress (every dr's office is different).

Then after the dr comes in to the room he will listen to her heart and lungs (this is where they ask you to breathe in and out) to make sure nothing is abnormal there. After that they will lie her down on the table so that they can feel her abdomen to make sure there are no abnormalities there either. Check her liver and spleen to make sure they are not enlarged (abnormal sign).

They will also look in to her eyes and ears, maybe her throat.

If she has said anything about symptoms they will ask her for more information about those symptoms such as how long she's had them and about the intensity of the symptoms. Ask about what makes them better or worse.

After that part is done they may order some bloodwork to check for things like iron levels, blood sugar, and other things. If the symptoms she told them about requires other testing x-rays may be involved. They may have already at the start asked for a urine sample. The reason they do this is to check to make sure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection going on.

After all is done, and everything seems to be normal from the exam that day and any bloodwork that was done they will say that you are ok til next year. If something is found they will then let your cousin's mom know or you (the guardian) what the next steps are and what kind of additional testing is needed.

Some of the bloodwork results tend to come back in about a week.
