Hi,
Dreams can offer practical solutions to problems. Dreams can be incredibly realistic and useful. It's amazing sometimes what my subconscious mind comes up with. I often wonder how some dreams can be so 'intelligent' and how I know certain information that comes up in my dreams, but I must have learned it somehow as I'm the dreamer!

It is paradoxical, when you think about it. A dream is, by definition, entirely theoretical, intangible, near or distant, but invisible; something practical requires going beyond theories and actually doing something that has tangible results. It is not an oxymoron if 'dream' is used in the sense of reaching for feasible objectives; if using 'dream' to mean the mansions we all design in our heads, there can be no practicality applied. Dreams are the only place we can go and not be limited by practicalities.

yeah it does a little, but i guess there is also something about keeping your goals reachable, if you want to call it a dream instead of a goal, that would work, you could say that a dream to, for example, own a house, is not unreachable and therefore is practical. but since practical usually means what you can afford to do RIGHT NOW and dreams happen in the future, yeah, the two don't go together too well.

Not sure what you mean by a practical dream. I believe some dreams are of God and most are just natural dreams.

Yes-
There are alot of reports of people finding solutions to their problems in a dream. The trick is to fall asleep while thinking on your problem.
Einstein saw many of his theories in dreams, then came up with the justification to support them later.

well yes, if the dream goes like it would go in real life then it could be practical. i had a dream once that i went to school and did the entire day like i normally would, got up, got dressed, went to school, ate, did my homework (no, i couldn't remember what it was when i woke up), and got in bed, everything, and then i woke up and thought it was the next day, but i'd dreamt a whole extra day and i felt like i was ahead one that whole week. :P very practical, that dream.

I assume that by 'dream' you mean 'goal', in which case, yes, of course.
