Why does this guy continue to spew his political views and hatred through Hollywood?

When will this guy make a movie that someone really wants to watch?

OK folks, I have not seen his last movie and I care not to see this latest one. In fact, I am not sure that I have seen any of his movies. I have seen parts of some of his movies and the parts I saw were really aweful and I have no need to waste my money on or promote his films in any way. I would rather watch paint dry than any of his movies.

Hey Mr. Athiest Greek, please find any of Moore's films that showed a profit. As I recall, every single one of them have been terrible box office failures.

I liked him back when he did TV Nation, come one, sending a multi ethnic group of cheerleaders to a KKK rally is funny. Roger and Me was alright, but I didn't care for Fahrenheit 911, yeah, the Bush Administration lied on a lot of things, but so did he.

I typically vote for the Democratic candidate, and I enjoyed watching Fahrenheit 9/11.

The thing with his films is he only shows what he wants to show. In the section where he interviewed US Senators to ask if they had a son or daughter serving, he actually interviewed a Minnesota Senator (at that time) Mark Kennedy. Kennedy has a nephew who was serving in Iraq at that time. Moore decided not to include that in his documentary, because then his view wouldn't be supported.

I don't appreciate it when anybody forces their views on me by manipulation. That's all Michael Moore's films are. They aren't documentaries, they're just conspiracy theories.

Hm.......I found some of the topics he tackled in "Bowling for Columbine" pretty far fetched, as if he was looking for things to fill his documentary with, and I didn't like that.

On the other hand, I've read some of his books, esp. the ones he wrote with Bush as main topic, and I have to say : it was well researched (I know people don't agree, but upon searching on the Internet, I found most of his points checked out), AND he isn't scared to tell the truth as he sees it, even tho it doesn't make him a popular person. He's not afraid to take a stand, and I very much appreciate that.

All in all, I for one DO care about another Michael Moore documentary! (no offense meant to the Americans on here)

Edit to add : just read your additional comments, and I'm afraid you miss the point of why MM produces his documentaries.
It's not about hitting the box-office, not at all (tho of course it would be a bonus if it did, and as far as I know 9/11 did)....it's about trying to give a lot of people wake-up calls on what is going wrong in America.
Of course there are many things great in your country, but why close your eyes for the less good stuff?
Are you a patriot?? There's nothing wrong with that, in fact it's very commendable, as long as you don't think everything that goes on in America is great, just because YOU are an American.

I'm Dutch, and the decissions President GW Bush and his administration make, don't just effect the Anmericans, they effect a LOT of other countries....and we're not always happy with the results!!
(and don't think I'm anti American, I'm SO not, some of my closest friends are Americans!)

Have you seen the movie?

It isn't politcal. And Ignorance is not bliss.

***edit***
You calling the films propaganda without ever seeing them is a prime example of what's wrong in this country. Political commentators have so swayed the masses that some people are so politicized they prefer to judge without any knowledge. Knowledge is ALWAYS a good thing. How can you call a movie propaganda if you haven't seen it? Sounds to me like you've been brainwashed by the propaganda of Rush and Hannity and all those other wingnut commentators.
***edit***
Actually, all of his documentary films have made considerable profit.

"Roger and Me" cost $160,000 to make and grossed 7.7 million at the box office.

"Bowling for Columbine" cost $4 million to make and grossed $58 million.

"Fahrenheit 9/11" cost $6 million to make and grossed $222 million.

And those numbers are just Box Office, they don't include DVD sales and rentals.

His movies do have truth in them, it's just that he only shows his side. Its a good thing that he's doing-trying to raise awareness about the horrible flaws in the USA's systems and sadly healthcare and safety programs are not all that great in the US because doctors cheat patients out of their money all of the time and our government did nothing to stop 9/11 and plus Mr. Dubya is doing nothing to stop Global warming only because he doesn't want to upset his buddies in Texas who are in the oil business.

How can you call Sicko a propaganda movie? Are you saying health care in the US is normal and well run and he's just making all the problems up? If so, you need to pull your head out of the sand and look around. Health care in the US is a joke and if Michael Moore's movie can bring further attention to the problem and make people demand better, than good for him. I, for one, look forward to his films. Whether or not I always agree with him, I always walk away thinking.

Since you haven't actually watched any of the movies you are complaining about, perhaps you could refer us to whoever does your thinking for you so we can answer directly?

Your recollection isn't very good either. "Bowling for Columbine" was the highest-grossing documentary ever, until "Fahrenheit 9/11" came out. F 9/11 was the number one movie in the US on its opening weekend. It has grossed $120 million in the US and nearly $200 million worldwide.

This one actually looks pretty interesting to me, We have insurance through Aetna and I saw in the previews that he was going to put them as a part of the film so I can't wait to see. Just for reference we get this plan where my husband works and they refused to pay for my medication for postpartum depression because zoloft didnt have a generic back then so they made me take paxil which didnt work for me. Also when I had my gallbladder removed that same year they refused to pay the hospital bill for my stay in the hospital, we had to fight it for 2 years before they would pay and this surgery was covered under our plan they just didnt want to pay.

(Edit: I just wanted to state how funny these thumbs downs are when I have only stated facts in my answer. Apparently those two people work for insurance companies.)

Millions of dollars in profits says there are people that want to see it.

Your personal dislike of him has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not he makes money on a film. No matter how vehemently you wish otherwise.
