You need some parentheses... I can't help you unless you write the problem more clearly so I know what the fractions actually are.

You could mean...
(500/100) - [(e^x)/2]=20

or
(500/100) - e^(x/2)=20

or
500 / [100 - e^(x/2)] = 20

or many other options.

Assume question is:-
500 / [ 100 - e^(x/2) ] = 20
500 = 20.[100 - e^(x/2) ]
25 = 100 - e^(x/2)
e^(x/2) = 75
x/2 = ln 75
x = 2.ln 75
x = 8.63

Please note that your question could be read as above or:
a) (500 /100) - (e^x / 2) = 20
or
b) [ 500 / (100 - e^x) ] / 2 = 20
or
c) [ 500 / 100 - e^x ] / 2 = 20
etc etc
Conclusion
Use brackets to avoid confusion----cheers!

500/20=25=100-e^x/2
e^x/2=75
x/2=ln75
x=2ln75
