Boy you people have not been paying attention.
The Brewers are winning on pitching.
The Cubs are catching Gallardo and Sheets this weekend. i expect the Brewers to take 2 of 3 from the Cubs.
Yes the Cubs have been hot, the Brewers are on fire.
Fielder is not this teams only offense. Ryan Braun is the likely rookie of the year, Rickie Weeks has been a doubles machine since coming off the DL, Corey Hart is on fire, and JJ Hardy is starting to kick it up.
Take off the fan hats and take a serious look at the future. The Brewers team is young, talented and getting better every day..

fkd basically has it. The Cubs are good now, since the emergence of Hill and Marshall gives them a solid rotation. The Brewers are simply better; in answer to your' question, the Cubs are good but don't have enough to beat the Brewers for the NL Central.

They have the momentum, home field advantage and the wind is blowing out towards left field. This is the perfect time for the Cubs to gain some much-needed ground. If the Cubs can take 2/3 and split their 4-game series the Cubs can finish with at least 89-92 victories. Should be good enough to win the N.L. Central.

Hard to say...Both doing very well in NL Central...The Cubs swept the Rockies...And the White Sox. Great way to start off a series against the Brew Crew. However, as we all know, Milwaukee has also been hot. They had a series sweep too, ya know. They won the Astros. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm thinking the Cubs will have a 2-1 lead over the Brewers for the series. They have the best pitching for today. Gallardo has the best ERA, but he has only 2 games for this season. There is a chance he might choke under pressure. Hill has a disadvantage right there. I'm thinking yeah, they can beat the Brew Crew. But I wouldn't bet on it. I'm not all too sure.
Did that make any sense? I tend to mix up words and say things that most no one understands.

In the end the brewers will fall back into their old ways. Prince Fielder (A.k.A The brewers offense) will either A. Get hurt and have to watch the rest of the season from the bench or B. his bat will cool way down... he's not superman. The cubs have great defense and a prety sturdy lineup when everyones there, but we also all know they struggle with pitching. Face it the cubs are always better after the allstar break.

yes, the cubs just beat the brewers a little bit ago, and I think they're going to do it again tomorrow. And then again on Sunday.

I believe they can do it. Baseball is a game of ups and downs and the Cubs are catching the Brewers at home while they are on on a 6 game winning streak. A sweep of the Brewers and the Cubs can close to within 4.5 games, it will be a great series.
