I work with a bunch of extremely overweight women who make fun of a redhead girl I work with. The redhead has a nice curvy figure, beautiful green eyes, and the sweetest personality you've ever seen yet they crack jokes about her and call her names like pippy, ginger, ugly, and wendys poster child. I told them that I thought she was VERY attractive and they all said I was crazy. They also refer to her as the redheaded step child. I just don't get why these women taunt her. She is a very good person, very attractive, and more intelligent than all those women combined. If anyone is ugly it's these womens attitudes. Why are people so ignorant? I just hate to see a good person get treated this way.

It could be jealousy.
Personally, I think redheads are very pretty. I don't often encounter natural redheads & when they have green eyes, I think that's even more unique.

One of my good friends has a baby who is a natural redhead and absolute beautiful. Members of my good friend's family, mainly the grandmother, are already cringing about her hair. The grandmother was a redhead and was made fun growing up for being different (one of the only redheads in her neighborhood).
Personally, I think red hair is absolutely gorgeous. The extreme hair colors can be very striking (platinum blonde, firey red, and jet black). In fact, I have dyed my hair red and get a lot of compliments about the color.
I think people tend to make fun of others to deflect any negative comments or feelings about themselves. We all need to diversify our standards of beauty, big or small, brunette, redhaired, or blonde, etc. Beyond that, we need to learn to celebrate and embrace inner beauty of every individual.

joke: a woman complaints to her husband about her mean female co-workers: she says to him: they are so jealous of me, they want to destroy
my life and my job. (she has a job at Macy's decorating gifts).
tired of her complaints her husband replies: what are they going to destroy? I'm leaving witn another woman tonight, and about the job, i guess all they can do is ripping the christmas presents' wrapping paper, all over your head, and tie you up with bows and ribbons?
