I used Windex Clear on a carpet spot one time when I had nothing else and it worked great. Now it's the first thing I reach for.

Shout for laundry might work, but it might leave a lot of soapy residue. Spot shot and resolve are not very good for your carpet :(
There is a product called Folex (you can find it at Lowe's and probably Home Depot) that works well. I can't promise it will work on red Hawaiian Punch though...that is a tough one....but it really can't hurt, right?

My boyfriend did the same thing on a cream colored carpet. I bought one of the Bissell Steam Cleaners and used the Pet & Odor Remover cleaning solution by Bissell. Prior to that we used the Bissell pre-treatment but we didn't even let it sit on there very long. Maybe the Pet & Odor Remover would work if you let it sit and then used a scrub brush. Smells good too! BTW- purchased all at Walmart. Solution: $15.95

what type of carpet is it? if it is made out of PET (soda bottles) you can use bleach and water i would spot check to make sure it won't discolor, if it is nylon clear dish soap and cold water. i would call a local carpet store and ask their opinion also. just remember what ever you put on it you will need to remove so after wards blot with a white towel and plain water... don't use anything with a soapy feel this will make the carpet attract more dirt.

Yeah you can BLOT it with a light towel and get the excess HP out .. Use cold water and some shout... Let it sit for about 10 minutes and BLOT with the light towel till the stain is lifted.. Do not rub the stain into the carpet... Now you must drink any HP in the kitchen and not in the livingroom....

Mom of 27 years knows this one by heart. Saturate the spot with regular hydrogen peroxide, wait 15 minutes, blot up. Repeat if necessary. Even works on old stains!

There was something red on my khaki carpet when I moved into my apartment and I used OxyClean. I sprayed a good amount on, let it set, and sprayed again about 15 minutes later. It came up!
