it could be that you are too dry for the tampon and it is rubbing against your walls to cause the discomfort...

it could also be that it is not in far enough and it is bent at a weird angle

also, remember to rotate between tampons and pads (I like pads at night better) to give your body a chance to breathe as well as help prevent yeast infections

If none of these help, try talking to the school nurse, they won't tell your parents since it isn't a life or death situation

periods are a fact of life and nothing to be embarrassed about, its always better to get help and a real answer on something involving your body because you never know what could turn into something serious

good luck

If the tampon is in the right position you cant feel it.

Remove the tampon .
Get Tampax Applicator Tampons
take all your bottoms off
put one leg on the bath/bed/chair/toilet seat
face the tampon a little bit to the right put the applicator in your vagina and insert it.

if its not in a good position start again. - although it feels like you will never get the hang of it you soon will. I promise.

Are you sure you have it in further enough??
Because if it isn't in far enough it can feel like its in to far when it is actually hanging out or not far enough in making it uncomfortable...

Make sure when you put them in next time that you do it far enough, just keep pushing until it wont go no more...hope that helped yooh...x

You might not be getting it in there right. You might want to try a smaller sized tampon, and I would talk to your mom if I were you. It may be awkward, but she might be more helpful than a bunch of strangers on yahoo!answers.

maybe you should switch to O.B tampons they are small but work like if they were big. i love them and i surely guearntee you'll like them too.but the med. ones they work just as good for heavy or light flow just change them often

It is probably not in far enough. Remove it and try again. Talk to your mom, she has been through this herself.
