I'm going to be voting for the first time in this upcoming election.
My views are as follows in order of importance:
1)pro-life
2)wanting to get out of Iraq sometime soon but remain in Afghanistan
3)pro-gay marriage

Hmmmmmm....that's a tough one. I would say support Rudy Gulliani, John Edwards, maybe? Joe Biden has great a plan for Iraq, Iran, Darfur, Afghanistan - those are the most important issues to me.

But, you need to research out a person yourself too! Go with who you feel is important.

Well, number two and three show you should tend to vote for a Democrat.
Everyone is 'pro-life', there are just some that believe that Abortion is better kept under strong restrictions, and that it will make abortions less safe if we make them illegal. I think all of the Democrats would be fine with more restrictions on abortion, just not making it totally illegal.

After your question I would say to vote for a Democrat.
Personally I absolutely hate Hillary Clinton and think she just wants power, and doesn't really want to do good things for this country.
So out of the top three you have Obama and Edwards left, both excellent candidates. I lean towards Obama because he has a better chance of beating Hillary and needs as much support as possible so that Clinton doesn't get office.

Now despite what some of these people will say, Democrats, including myself, would like to remain in Afghanistan. We just want out of Iraq soon. The Republicans are constantly fighting to stay in Iraq, which we both know is wrong.

Democrats are the party for the rights of others. So Gay rights are one of the platform ideas of the Democratic Party.

Hope I was of help!

I don't think there are currently any candidates like that. Republicans are generally very pro-life, but support marriage as being defined as the union of a man and a woman, which is the only relationship proven to benefit society. If more and more people choose to be gay, eventually the human race will die out.

Democrats generally support abortion of any kind for any reason whatsoever through all 9 months of pregnancy, claiming constitutional ground for a woman's right to "privacy". They are usually also in favor of same-sex "marriage".

Both sides are pretty divided on the war on Iraq. Personally, I'm in favor of it. For the first time, women can actually protest Sharia law and there have been 3 free elections since the war began!

Hope this helps! :)

You would probably lean toward the Democrats, although nobody in the race really fits the exact profile you laid out. Being pro-life might cause some to hesitate about voting Democratic, but if you look at the subject closely, you'll find that the Democrats, by supporting policies that make convenient contraceptives more available, have actually done as much, and arguably a lot more, to prevent abortions than the Republicans.

Except for the Gay Marriage thing, you are basically in tune with the republicans. There are no candidates in either party that are both pro-life and pro-gay marriage. For what it is worth, gay marriage is a non-starter because there just isn't enough support for it. Pro-life is a non-starter too, even if the Supreme Court reversed Roe v Wade, abortion will still be legal on a state by state basis.

Republicans want to get the Iran situation turned over to the Iraqis ASAP and still want to persue the terrorists in Afghanistan.

Democrats are for pullilng out of Iraq immediately even if that means allowing the fledgling democratic government in Iraq to collapse and the country to be taken over by the terrorists. That does not sound like what you are for.

Hope this helps.

I could say probably choose an democratic opponet. I know for a fact that you wont choose a Republican because of #2. They really all want to stay in Iraq. I would choose Obama or Hillary for the next president.

Wow! Another prolifer who supports gay rights too. You may want to check out Joe Schirner, http://www.voteforjoe.com . He has no chance of winning and his support for gay rights goes as far as allowing them to serve openly in the military, and maybe gay unions. Unfortunately he draws a line before gay marriage ... don't know why.

You may also want to check out Democrats for Life. I'm an independent because I don't see The Democrats coming around to supporting equal opportunity or freedom from torture for the unborn in my lifetime, but maybe in yours....

You'll probably be leaning towards a democractic cadidate then, best to do you your own research, & then make an informed decision.
Best of luck!

As I.

You would not say "as me do".
You would say "As I do".

You are wrong in all three, but it is probably just your age.

1. Abortion is, no matter what you think, murder.
2. We must finish the job.
3. A contradiction in terms.

When you grow up your "views" will change.
