The ignition switch may be worn out. Just be glad the key didn't get stuck in the switch yet. That happened to me with the car running and I couldn't shut it off.

The ignition switch has lots of small parts in it that move to form around your key. One part may have gotten worn and failed, and fell into the keys path, or part of it may just be sticking. I have a feeling that you are going to have to have the ignition replaced, but you could try spraying a little wd40 to see if it frees anything up. Make sure to put something under the ignition switch so you dont have any wd40 drip on your carpet. Good luck!

Ignition switch may not be in the correct position to allow key to enter.

try to wiggle the steeling wheel and put the key it ignition.
if that does not work take some wd forty oil and spray in
side the ignition.

Either you have the wrong key or the tumblers in the ignition switch have collapsed and will need to be replaced.

the key is prbly bent .... or broken it could be either one
