I speak just for myself, I put thumbs down on answers that does not correspond to the questions, that it expresses in angers and insults. Our opinions maybe the truth to us , but not the truth to others, but if we express it in a civil way ,people will respect it, even they disagree with us. Brutal truth is not effective, because people look down on brutality.

I've answered questions and have known it to be the truth and get thumbs down. I've also done the delete thing a few times. Heck one question was about engagement rings asking about costs. I got a thumbs down. I mentioned how much mine cost and thumbs down. Some people do it I think to be spitful. oh well as long as you know the truth that's always good.

Or if they don't "get" a reply or context,
we're at their mercy.

The tradeoff is when brilliance IS
recognized, and makes another's
day AND we get Best Answer
as they thank us.

THAT makes the dummies worth it after all.

< I'm in the midst of a grumble session
right now. I answered someone in playing
on her wording, and I received a thumbdown.

So I EDITed, and let 'em have it.

Don't know yet if I feel any better though. >
