You need to determine which motherboard that you have. The Intel Celeron 1000MHz is the processor, not the motherboard. That processor would work on many different motherboards. Somewhere on the motherboard, the model and version, and brand name of the motherboard should be printed. Go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and look at the specs for that board. It will tell you how much memory the board will support.

Contact the motherboard maker and find out from them. Check their web site for the motherboard you have.

If you have a Dell, you can go to their website and find this info online. If it is a prepackaged computer (one you didn't build), usually going to the company's website will find out this info.
It will more than likely hold at least 1GB.

The manual that came with your motherboard, will tell you what is in it, and how much.

I called tech support for mine. Or if they have any documentation with the computer.
