I'd say mine to some boy a few months ago...LOL:

Once upon a time a newlywed couple decided they wanted to have a baby. They, too, asked your question and the husband remembered hearing something about a stork from his mother, So the couple gleefully skipped, hand-in-hand to visit Mr. Stork. Mr. Stork had a long-winded lecture about how man and woman were created and explained the baby-making process in detail, but the couple had stopped listening long ago and were thumb-wrestling. The score was 7 to 5 in favor of the man. Anyway, they vaguely recalled hearing something about "Woman" and "Rib", so the wife ate a bunch of BBQ'd ribs in the hopes of getting pregnant. They were both too embarrassed to ask Mr. Stork what he'd said earlier. Of course the wife never got pregnant, but one day, the couple stumbled upon a cabbage patch and Lo and Behold! BABIES!! They picked 2 of their favorites and lived happily ever after. Hope this helps!

my 3 1/2 year old son was being told by his grandma that babies come out of the belly button, and he told her that lying isnt very nice, and that he already knows that babies come from the womans Penis. No joke he said that and my mother in law almost died. She said that isnt what a womans private area is called and he giggled and said he knew that to, he was just making a joke. Its really called a vagina, and he watches birthday with mommy. My little Joker!!

I assume you're asking because you have a child who has asked or may soon ask that question.

Problem: the best answer depends on the child's age. For a three-year old, you might say, "From Mommy's tummy." For older kids, obviously they'll want more info.

I suggest getting a book that tells you how to handle the question with age-appropriate answers.

I asked that question of a little girl, and she said ( in her best baby voice) :" In the old days, the stork used to bring them, now they come by UPS. "I see," I said: "and how do you know if it's a boy baby or a girl baby?" "It's so cute, the little boys come in blue tissue paper ,and the little girls come in pink tissue paper"> I think her dad has something to do with this answer, he works for UPS.

They come from light bulbs. You use a light bulb until it burns out then the mother sticks it into her belly button and it forms a living breathing child.

No joke that's what they told me!
