Currently, the only ones are some fish.
These are the heartiest fish known to man.
One tank per child's bedroom, all have lived for more than 2 years (one is going on 4!) and they have been starved, overfed, heated, handled, neglected and had plastic toys and cookies added to their domiciles on a fairly regular basis. One even received a handwritten note, folded and delivered right to the little flourescent cave, discovered on Day 2 by mom. The ink was, apparently, non-toxic.
We think Santa will be bringing a puppy next year, but aren't sure. He will probably give the family a certificate to the pound, because we think that's how Santa's helpers will steer the "puppy conversation" as it starts to build toward Christmas. I think he would like for our whole family to enjoy the experience of choosing our puppy together.

My fish, bunny, and bird all died in the past couple of years, so I gave up for awhile! My goldfish was 11 years old when it died last year! I just don't like getting my heart broken so much! Can't handle it! Someday I want ot get a small puppy.

I have a hedgehog and two goldfish (6" long and still growing) and a plecostama (that's a sort of 'cat fish' that eats the algae) ... and I LOVE THEM ALL.
