People think I'm alot more cynical than I really am. Mainly when I tell anyone that I don't believe in God they think that I must be really cynical to think that. Being opinionated and being atheist are two characteristics that people often mistake for being synonymous with cynicism. But really, I have a rosier outlook on life than many people I know.

Yes, because people tend to repeat the same patterns throughout their lives and after a while wonder what's the point. A smart person would look at the patterns, figure out what they are doing to perpetuate them and then try something different. I'm 35, don't know if it matters though.

Well, yes and no. As I grow older, I can definitly point out the flaws of humans better. However, I do try to keep a positive outlook on human actions. Sometimes, however, I just don't understand why people do the things they do.
