Number 1- Call your vet. I used Advantage on my kittens. It's amazing. I kept them on a white sheet and began flea combing 20 mins. later. I couldn't believe how many fleas came off. I used a lint roller to pick them off the sheet.

Then there is a spray that you can get from the vet for your home. It will kill the fleas but not the eggs. Put your pets in a ventalated room that you're not spraying that day. Spay the rest of your house and vacuum! This loosens the eggs from furniture and carpets. Put a flea collar in the vacuum bag. Be careful not to get any of the spray in their food or water bowls.

Once everything is dry and the fumes are gone let your pets into the rest of the house. Do the samething the next day for the room you had the pets in the day before. Just keep vacuuming everyday for a week. I never saw another flea! It's been 3 years.

There are bombs, but they are a pain to use. If you have gas appliances, you have to turn off the pilot lights. You and your pets have to leave for 4 hours. Cabinets have to be emptied, surfaces need to be thoroughly cleaned afterwards, bedding changed, etc.

I just got rid of a flea infestation in my house by using Bengal Flea Spray, and seven dust.

No matter what you use, make sure you slowly vacuum all carpets and floors at least once a day. This is where the unhatched eggs are, and if you don't remove them, they will hatch, and you have fleas again.

Treat your pets with the seven dust, making sure to not get it in their eyes or ears. Dust them in a well ventilated area. Also treat their bedding.

Diligence is needed when getting rid of fleas, so don't stop just because you don't see them. They hide in furniture and drapes too.

Yes, Raid makes one it kills spiders, flies and flieas etc... It comes in a 3 or 4 pk... Depending on the size of your house will determine how many you will need.. I have a 3 bdrm ranch w/ basement so I used about 6 cans... Follow the instructions... EXCEPT for turning off pilot lights.. The fogger will not EXPLODE... If you have a basement put a couple in there or the fleas will "flea" to the basement... It sometimes takes acouple times fogging since there's larve/eggs... I also used baking soda/iodized salt on my carpet furniture it smothers any remaining fleas and dissolves the eggs/large... If nothing else it leaves the carpets nice and fresh.. Also, vacuum everyday and empty your canister(outside) or throw the bag away...

If you have a pet living with you, please contact the vet, and take the animal in regarding Advantage. That will kill the lfeas on the animal, and then use a vacuum (flea collar ONLY IN THE VACUUM-not on the animal) and vacuum, vacuum, vacuum! Change the bags in the vacuum frequently too. And, you can use baking soda on the carpet/furniture to vacuum up the fleas. It helps to kill them, by drying them up a bit. It's cheaper and easier than bombing the place. Take care.

Most bug bombs kill fleas, ticks, ants, spiders etc.
The trick is to get them off your pet, if you have one, before they come back in side and reinfest your house. If you don't, then try some carpet dust you can get at any store, ie: Walmart, Target, etc, in the pet department. Follow the instructions and your place should be flea free in no time.

what everyone else said, but for maintaining flea-free carpets, get a flea collar and keep it in your vacuum bag. it's the only thing those collars are good for, and it works for killing carpet bugs once you sweep them up.

Yes, there are bombs you can use, if they are concentrated to one room in your home. There are also furniture sprays that you can use if they have infested your cloth furniture or mattress. I would suggest taking that peice of furniture outside and spraying so it can air out really good before bringing it back inside.
