Very common. It doesn't matter how safe your car is the only things keeping you in contact with the road are the tyres so get it changed immediately. If you don't have a spare and therefore need to drive it to a tyreshop as it is then take it easy and absolutely resist the temptation to pull it out,if you do then the air will usually follow rather quickly leaving you unable to reinflate it.

Yes it's very common. Screws and short nails get drawn into the tyre tread and then get hammered into the tyre as the wheel goes round. I've been driving for over 40 years and I must have had about 10 punctures from nails and screws.

Yeah it's happened - the tyre on the car cost more than what I wanted to pay so I got it repaired for 25% the cost of a new tyre

Yes. The home improvement guys don't clear up properly and the bits end up in the road. On my estate I must have found a few dozen new screws in the road over the last few years, and a few in my tyres

Yes, it's very common though it's not always necessary to have the tyre replaced, just plugged and sealed gets you on the road again.

Yes many times. Most times it causes a slow puncture. Easily fixed at any tyre fix place. I've even put a bigger screw in it's place to stop the leak so i can make it home.

It has happened to me so many times that I carry my own plug kit!!
Depending on the area where you travel, it is common. Screws, nails and other debris fall off of construction vehicles and on to the roadway. You also have screws that come lose and fall cars and trucks themselves!.
I drive 50,000 miles a year, and find stuff in my tires every couple of months!

me too - in 30 odd years of driving have had screws, nails, tacs all sorts.
I usually find that it happens where someone has been working ie; new housing estate or someone doing shopfitting.
Usually if it happens once it'll happen soon after!!
Bit like broken window syndrome after the roads have been resurfaced.
