Personally, I got a number of reports/violations from people whining, "That's not a question! That's not a poll or survey"
So the sarcastic me kind of took over, & once in awhile I'll start a question that way just to clarify that it is indeed, a poll or survey.

I think it's maybe because questions and accounts have been deleted after yahoo decided they weren't real questions. So people insure themselves against deletion by stating it's poll or survey. Just a theory

I think they were just doing it for fun yesterday, but it actually lets you post things that the filter kicks to the back if you put it there, I just tried it on a question that wouldn't post and it works like magic. Thank you Sally!!!!

otherwise you can't seem to get the option to post it in the polls and surveys section. i tried and the option didn't come up, so i put poll and then it did.

And I hate the people who say '10 points to the best answer'.

because it wouldnt let me chose what catorgory i wanted to put my questions in and if you ad poll to the begining it will bring up the option
