I have cockroaches coming up through my tub drains and floor drains in my house.

In Arizona, with the 118 degree heat, it is an ongoing battle with these critters.

My exterminator has stopped them from coming into the house and garage, but the sneaky bastards are using the drains now.

I was thinking of pouring ammonia down the drains.

Any suggestions?

You could just use the drain stopper. Maybe they'll get tired of getting blocked in the drain.

Also try pouring 1 cup salt and 1 cup vinegar down the drain with 3 cups boiling water. Allow to set for an hour, and then flush with cold water. This will clean out the drain. Repeat once a week.

Draino. Any drain cleaner but Draino works the best. It will be an on going battle you're right they are sneaky and will come in anywhere there is an opening. You can also keep a plug in the drain to keep them out.
Good luck.

Blahhhhh... Oh gross.... I would get a few gallons of cheap bleach and some drain plugs.... Pour that down the drains and leave overnight... Flush all the drains with hot, hot water...I've heard that boric acid is good around the perimeter/thresholds.... Good luck....

i am not scared of cockroaches, but I am scared of them when they are flying. Anywayz I think there are cockroach killer powders (maybe ammonia), u can pour the powders over and around the drains so that they get killed before they can enter your house and have fun around.
