I don't think sex (unless you are pregnant, which I'm assuming your not b/c you mean you used a form of birth control hence the being careful) would make your periods be any different. Some people are just not exactly regular.

Being a man it is hard for me to say. But I been married 2 times now and a bunch of GF and 4 daughters. So I can say this, my ex-wife would have her period either the 1st or 2nd week of each month then it would change to the last week of the month and some times she would have it the last week of the month and then get it again the following week. It all depends on how much stress you have and your diet and what kind of activities you do, and yes also your sexual activities. My wife now used to have her period every 2nd week now it has changed to the 3rd week so it is not unusual for your period to change its time period. Yes sexual intercouse can change your times. Also age plays a big part of your period cycle. Dont panic period cycles changes from time to time.

You're a day late so I wouldn't worry. Once you are two weeks late, you should take an at-home pregnancy test.
As a side note, you don't sound very confident that you are not pregnant. If you have doubts, try to find a more reliable method of preventing pregnancy. Remember that stress can make you late too.

Having sex doesn't affect the timing of your period . . . unless you get pregnant and your period stops altogether. :-) Hopefully, you and your boyfriend used reliable contraception. If you are truly worried, most pregnancy tests are 99% reliable on the day after your period is due. It will either confirm that you have something to worry about, or it will ease your mind considerably. Either way, it's better than wondering.

How careful are you? Do you use a condom or take a pill? Sounds like you don't. Take a pregnancy test and if you still don't get it wait another week then go to the doctor. Drinking lots of water, taking antioxidents and doing cardiovascular excercises may help. If you do this one week straight and nothing happens then go 2 ur obgyn.

There are dozens of things that can mess with your cycle. Give it a week before you start to worry about possible pregnancy.

No, your cycle could just be off because of stress or poor dieting.
